Role purpose:
Various technology study/trial/deployments projects are planned and ongoing at Mine Operation including Collision Avoidance System, Tele-remote Dozing System, Camera-based Fatigue Monitoring System, Tele-remote Drilling Solution.
General requirements:
- Engineering degree in either of information technology, electronics, heavy mobile equipment electrician
- 3-5 years of working experience is preferred
- English proficiency level for the position is minimum Advanced level
- Experience in project management
- Experience in developing reports using various tools including MS Excel, PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience in data analytics and data management
- Experience in using engineering and drawing software
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and contribute to finalizing installation drawings and schematics of system hardware and infrastructure
- Collaborate with manufacturer of mining trucks on installing and commissioning Machine Interface Controller on mining trucks
- Developing and improving processes to be rolled out as part of Change Management
- Development of procedures and documents to be rolled out as part of Change Management
- Facilitating weekly meetings and distributing progress reports to project stakeholders
- Overseeing changes and deviations and escalating to project stakeholders
- Managing communications in relation with the project progress with operation teams
- Arranging, coordinating and validating set-up and configuration of software and reporting
- Arranging, coordinating and validating installation and commissioning of hardware
- Conduct troubleshooting, inspection and maintenance on hardware, and keep tracking of maintenance records
- Conduct or contribute to technical analysis, and develop report of failures or defects
- Preparing for User Acceptance Test as per test plan and protocol
- Coordinating, executing and witnessing User Acceptance Test to validate system performance and capability
- Monitoring system reports, engaging with operation teams to review effectiveness of system
- Developing technical reports in relation with the system integrity, performance, capability
- Incorporating general feedback from stakeholders with findings stated in technical reports and escalating non-comformances or areas for improvement to project stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery where required
The Project Engineer(s) will work at Open Pit Mine Office and report to Project Lead.
